Regulatory and Scientific Affairs

The freedom to sell your food, beverage or animal feed product depends increasingly on successfully navigating the regulatory landscape in markets where you wish to do business. But with the growing number and complexity of regulations, ensuring freedom to operate is becoming a major business challenge.

Cargill’s regulatory and scientific affairs team brings extensive knowledge of regulatory frameworks in markets around the world. In addition, we fully appreciate the need to evaluate and substantiate the safety of ingredients and products through sound scientific studies.

With an understanding of your product goals, we can assist in developing a regulatory roadmap to achieve them. The scope of our research and scientific affairs capabilities is comprehensive; it includes:

  • Regulatory research aimed at bridging the gap between scientific research and regulatory challenges.
  • Regulatory science, which compiles scientific evidence on product safety, efficacy and quality.
  • Regulatory management — managing regulatory submissions to a successful outcome.
  • Regulatory compliance activities to ensure that the product meets the requirements of its targeted geographies.
